growing up, newsweek was the only magazine that my parents subscribed to. i remember they had a whopping 1-2 pages dedicated to music at the very end of each issue. those were the only pages i ever read...
most recently: just did a sickkkkkk event for red bull's new team honda launch event @ the seven-degrees art gallery in laguna beach. got to dj with a drummer for the first time! before that i was in jamaica, spinning at the biggest club in kingston. shout out to sean, alrich and boyd for the awesome hospitality! check out some footage here. random pics:

You will witness the debut of Mr. Chen's Piano Concerto Far Horizon, and some of the best musicians from around the world. 8pm, July 16 @ the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington D.C. $20 is all it takes to be a part of history. Working on the next SpitKicker tape, it will be the greatest mixtape of the decade, never been done before. I will throw up some previews of it soon. april update. Took my last exam of college four days ago. Yahoo. So. If you, or someone you know is hiring for jobs... please check me out, I will revolutionize your company. I can wash dishes, use a mop, give back massages, cook rice, bite finger nails, and write. I'm also an advertising genius, a copywriting guru, and I can make Cup Noodles in five minutes. I won the Hip Hop Awareness Festival DJ Battle for the 2nd straight year. Shoutout to Speed and Xander for throwing it all together.

february update. Made the top 8 for the World Series Turntable Championship. It took a lot out of me, and was a lot of fun. I had the opportunity to get murdered by Unkut... there was a lot of dope DJs, I was really lucky to make the final 8. Check out all the battles in my bookings section.
january update. finished my Next On The Decks Mix for Mark Ronson's competition early in the month. been having a lot of fun in the WSTC Battle online, anyone who's a tablist should definitely get in on this next year. it's definitely helping me tighten my game, meeting some dope djs & checking different styles along the way. even if you're not battling you can listen to all the battles. shoutout to ali and xander for sharing their bowls of wisdom and helping me record.

june update. it's summer. yes. battle season has begun. the past few months have flown by and i feel like an old man. it's been a crazy half-year, won hip hop congress's hip hop awareness dj battle and last week i won the guitar center spin off store final. got my ass beat in chicago dmc's, congrats to kico for killing it. if you don't know, this site is completely funded, designed and updated by yours truly. luckily, the illustrious jargis imam helps me make it all work. help us both buy toilet paper and vitamins by copping a mixtape. we shall remember the good deed. stay tuned. more remixes and videos to come. yes.
nov.update. hello hello, my bad I haven't touched the site in months... school has been killing me along with lack of food and sleep equals a tired sleeper. i just finished a 30 minute demo mix for the scion mix dj competition. they're going to decide the finalists at the end of november so I'm crossing my fingers. just found out that i got voted bloomingtons #1 dj=) thanks to everyone who voted for me, i really appreciate it. the ids will be publishing bloomingtons best on 11.11.04. recently i've been working on the 3rd volume of my wake up mix cds as well as putting together hip hop congress's first official mixtape. at the same time i'm trying to pass my classes so i can graduate on time... i'm going to try to upload some new sound clips for you guys as soon as i can. there's a lot of good new music coming out, that new ashanti beat is sick sick sick, mos defs new album is crazy nice, so is nas's. and chino xl is coming out w/ a new album. on top of that, jay-z unloaded a can of mace on r kellys face? yes. the future of music is looking up. |
